Emulation of GCOS applications

e-Sentry allows you to emulate the DKU7105 Interface of GCOS7/8 applications.

This Web emulation of the DKU7105 Interface is done by a Java Applet, with addition of security mechanisms performed by the e-Sentry server (for example, the securized connection to the GCOS application).

To allow this emulation, one must only click the Web link to the e-Sentry service representing the application.
This link can be presented on the e-Sentry user list of services, or on the company Web portail.
Usually, the Java Applet will be seamless downloaded and activated on your Browser.

But this applet requests the pre-installation of IFC Java classes on your Browser. Usually, Netscape Browsers include these classes; MicroSoft Browsers sometimes don't.
The Web page launching the Java Applet on the user station will display an alert message if necessary :

In order to use Java emulator,
you must install IFC (Internet Foundation Classes) from Netscape
.....

In this message appears, you should download the IFC Java classes from the local security server (enter Download IFC ), or from a Netscape Web site, at address
http://home.netscape.com/eng/ifc/download.html

The download operation should be done on a temporary Directory. The average size of these classes is 1300 K bytes.
More accurate information will be given on the Netscape site for the installation and test of theses Java classes. Note that these classes should be installed in the Directory Windows, under Java/Lib.

To be validated, the installation leads to restart of the browser under Windows 95 or NT4. Under Windows 98 ou 2000, it is necessary to stop and restart Windows.
